INDIVIDUAL COUNSELING
I am convinced counseling can be one of the most rewarding and restorative life experiences.
Counseling will begin with an initial assessment. This will allow us to determine together the likely course and frequency of counseling. Sessions are 55 minutes in length.
My approach to counseling is straightforward and involves the use of expanding insight, coping skills training, mindfulness and genuine caring. Below is a list of some of the techniques used in counseling to facilitate the therapeutic process.
- active listening
- building trust
- effective questioning
- providing clear information
- pointing out discrepancies
- creating genograms
- completing thought records
- bibliotherapy
My therapeutic approach is integrated and therapeutic methods are tailored to the needs presented by the client.

MARRIAGE COUNSELING
Our marital and familial relationships are the places we expect to experience the most love, support, and security. However, when these relationships are disjointed and hurtful, it can negatively affect many areas of our lives.
I provide hope for couples who want to grow closer together. Whether you want a strong foundation for your upcoming marriage or you have been married for many years and are losing ground in your relationship, counseling can help provide a safe place to find common ground.
Honesty, humility, and genuine love are powerful sources of healing in relationships. I can help facilitate a safe space to process the patterns that are not working and re-establish a new normal where each person feels more valued and loved.
Together, we can work toward better communication, compassion for one another, more intimacy, healing from broken trust, and just good ole lighthearted fun as a couple.
SUPERVISION
I enjoy providing supervision almost as much as providing counseling. I find it extremely rewarding to work with supervisees as they excel in providing clinical services to their clients.
I provide both individual and group supervision.
Taking a developmental approach to supervision, I employ collaborative problem solving, supportive exploration of transference and countertransference, and a constant review of relevant ethical principles. I value and elicit regular open communication regarding the supervisee's changing needs and their satisfaction with the supervision experience.
